Prepare for impact, The seat with the clearest view, Grey Matter Gallery, Sydney, Australia, 2001

Artist/curator Polly Staple invited FP001 to produce a piece of work that would announce the arrival of her group show 'The Seat With the Clearest View' in Sydney, Australia.

Prepare for impact cushioned the sudden landing of British art with an agit-prop advertising parachute slung over a street lamp. A 'payload' of hand-painted propaganda posters, presenting English ideography and texts from British spokespersons, such as Napalm Death and Bob Geldof, were sited amongst the area's local galleries, coffee shops, and libraries.
